Religion & World Views
"Religion and World Views at Holy Trinity is central to our school ethos and reflects our vision of ‘Let’s grow together’. Rooted in Christian values, our curriculum recognises and celebrates the diversity of the world in which we live. Through the study of Christianity, Islam, Judaism and Hinduism, pupils develop a secure knowledge and understanding of a range of religions, beliefs and world views.
Our curriculum encourages children to think deeply, ask meaningful questions and reflect on how faith, belief and spirituality influence individuals and communities. Pupils are taught that no one stands nowhere — everyone holds beliefs, values or viewpoints, and every perspective matters. Alongside learning key facts and religious teachings, children are supported to express their own ideas, listen respectfully to others and understand that differing beliefs should be approached with curiosity, empathy and respect.
As pupils progress, they engage with religious texts, compare similarities and differences between faiths, and consider the impact of religion on moral and social values. By celebrating difference and promoting open dialogue, we aim to develop religiously literate, thoughtful and compassionate individuals who can flourish in a multicultural society with tolerance, respect and understanding for all."
