Welcome to Holy Trinity Primary School in Ossett
Holy Trinity Primary School first opened in September 1876, and caters for boys and girls, aged 3-ll years of age. At present, there are approximately 365 children on roll. We have twelve classrooms, an ICT suite, a library, a hall with fixed apparatus and wildlife garden. The school is set in extensive grounds with a large field, a developing woodland and a variety of stimulating outdoor play equipment.
We aim to provide an educational experience that excites, inspires and motivates the children to achieve their very best in all areas of the curriculum. We ensure that children are taught the skills they need to become independent and confident learners, problem solvers, team players and above all responsible and caring individuals.
Teachers work in teams to share the preparation of work, drawing on different experiences, knowledge and expertise to ensure work is relevant, purposeful and well matched to meet the needs of all our children. In this way, we are able to utilise the strengths of a large staff team and enhance the quality of learning and teaching here at Holy Trinity.
We have recently undergone major building works which includes a new school entrance, our very own radio station, a brand new library and a purpose built kitchen for use across the curriculum!!
I hope this site gives you a flavour of our school - please feel free to contact us should you wish to.
Thank you for visiting!
